CALCULATORS · WEALTH STAIRCASE
The Wealth Staircase
Four levels stand between where your money is today and the day it stops needing you to work. Set your timeline, log what you already hold, and see an illustrative projection of what climbing each step could take — not a precision financial plan.
Your Details
Optional — for your own reference. Nothing here affects the numbers below.
Your Timeline
How many years from now you want to hit financial freedom. This sets the return assumption used for the required-investment and gap-closing figures (Sections 05 & 07) — it does not change how your existing portfolio in Section 03 is projected, which uses each asset's own rate.
Your Existing Portfolio
Enter what you currently hold and add monthly to each asset class. Expected return is editable per row — each row is projected at its own rate, independent of the timeline-based rate above.
| Asset Class | Current Value (₹) | Monthly Savings (₹) | Expected Return | Share of Wealth | Projected Wealth |
|---|
The Four Levels
Each step is a fixed wealth threshold. The bar inside each step fills as your projected portfolio (Section 03) covers more of that target.
Required Investment per Level
What it takes, starting from zero, to reach each threshold in your chosen timeframe — as a monthly commitment, or as one lump sum today.
The Gap, Level by Level
Your total projected wealth at the end of your chosen horizon (Section 03), measured against each target. This is the shortfall at that future date — not what you're short by today.
Closing the Gap
Two ways to fund whatever's left after your existing portfolio: keep investing monthly, or find the lump sum now.
Notes. Return assumption for required-investment and gap-closing figures scales with your timeline: under 3 years → 6% · 3 to under 6 years → 8% · 6 to under 10 years → 10% · 10 years and above → 12%. Your existing portfolio (Section 03) is projected using each asset's own rate, not this scale. Monthly contributions are treated as beginning-of-month (SIP-style) payments. All figures are illustrative projections, not guarantees — markets move, and actual returns will differ.
